Lingerie is intimate apparel that is meant to be worn under a woman’s clothing, or in the privacy of her bedroom. If you agree with this statement then please read on because lingerie is no longer just for the bedroom or under a skirt or blouse. It has historically been worn as a foundation that distorted a woman’s form to conform to the style of the day. Corsets, waist cinchers, and similar garments were to make a woman’s body appear to have a slender waist, hourglass figure, or the appearance of smaller breasts or whatever the style was of the day. Panties were worn for the sake of modesty, but primarily for sanitary purposes. After all, preventing one from soiling a garment was one of the primary purposes of underpants or panties. Through the 19th and early 20th century, lingerie was meant to be worn as an unmentionable, under the skirts or blouses of women, and certainly out of view of others.
Styles began to change in the early 20th century with the invention of the bra, such as it was, and women’s needs also changed with more women entering the work force during the first and second world wars. Lingerie changed along with the women that wore bras, panties and hosiery. Fabrics were invented that allowed garments to stretch and give, with comfort being more and more important, and the idea of women with freakish waists became viewed as virtually ancient.
Now, sexy lingerie styles are worn as Halloween Costumes, outer wear, dresses and with jeans.
Sexy Lingerie for Women
I hate looking at lingerie ads. Oh, the lingerie is not the problem. The models are. What woman who lives a real life has a body like that? I don't! If you are like me, it is important to know there is lingerie for women with real bodies like us girls.
It wasn't long ago that women who were not size one were pretty much out of luck when it comes to lingerie. The choices basically boiled down to industrial bras similar to something Madonna wears in her concerts and big, formless and definitely unsexy panties. Fortunately, this grim assessment no longer applies today.
Lingerie designers have awoken and realized that there is a bit section of the market that does not find a g-string the size of tooth floss to be an option. This has led to an explosion in options for us women with real bodies. When I say explosion, I mean it. Every single form of lingerie now comes in a size for real bodied women in addition to all those malnourished super models we see in the magazines. How is that for progress?
Waif-like super models are great and all when it comes to fashion, but we real women need something more realistic for us. Fortunately, there are plenty of options available for us today.
Sexy and Erotic Lingerie For Women
Some men like to wear lingerie. For many people, the habit may sound weird and even very unlikely of a man. But the thing is that men have motivations for wanting to dress up in intimate women's wear. Much like any other choices in life though, they have their reasons for doing so and if without any rights infringed upon by their acts, the audience do not have any reasons to question them on the basis of their want for women's lingerie.
Panties are More Comfortable than Brief
Most men prefer to wear panties because they are more comfortable in it. While most men won't admit it, survey shows that men have worn women's panties at least for once in their lives. It could be their wife's, mother's or sister's, but the thing is that men would like to get a feel of how panties feel like. In the process though, some men gets hooked on the comfort of the panties and swear by wearing the same on a regular basis.
Your Relationship: It's Wrong to Compromise
While your man may be one of the populations of men who are into women's underwear, you should act maturely about it. It is improper to compromise your relationship just because of his undergarment preference. Think of the grander things that matter. Remind yourself of the things that you love the most about him, and then get past the fact that he wants the underwear that your wear.
